NEW SHOW TONIGHT 9PM PST!
PHIL IVEY AND THE REST OF THE WSOP 2009 NOVEMBER NINE!
After several grueling days of competition, and nearly 6,500 eliminations, the Main Event of the 2009 World Series of Poker is finally down to its eagerly anticipated November 9. Though several top name pros were able to make deep runs, including former champs Peter Eastgate and Joe Hachem, in addition to household names such as Antonio Esfandiari, the only well-known left is the one considered by many to be the best of them all. That distinction belongs to none other than the great Phil Ivey, poker pro at Full Tilt Poker. After winning 2 bracelets in earlier events this year, Ivey was able to thrive in the massive main event field and goes to the final table alive and kicking, albeit with the 3rd fewest chips at the table, and nearly $50 Million behind the chip leader, Darvin Moon. However, no one is ready to count out the poker icon just yet.
Here is a snapshot of where the tournament will pick up when the final table regroups in November.Blinds: 120,000-240,000 with a 30,000 antePlayers Remaining: 9 out of 6,494

WSOP A DONKEY'S POINT OF VIEW!
Hey all,
Fresh from my bad beat earlier I'm down to 20 bucks and decided to visit the WSOP at the RIO. As luck would have it they were going on a 90 min dinner break when I got there. Still, I got to see Mark Saif lecture on table image and saw Mike "The Mouth" Matsaow hocking his book and speaking to people at $25 bucks a book. Damn just 5 more dollars. I was kinda tired from the 10 mile walk to the WSOP tables from the Rio hotel itself. I was half way to Los Angeles when I got to the ESPN feature table...ok maybe not. While hiking there I almost ran into Andy Black who was on a scooter. I should have taken him out Rugby style! Anyway happy 4th of July to all my Yank friends and happy Saturday to everyone else! I'm going to watch some fireworks then back to the tables....if I can borrow $20 bucks, it's a $40 dollar by-in. Maybe I could strip for the rest. Someone tell Lindsay Lohan I'm staying at Circus Circus if she wants a private show! LATER DEGENERATES!
