POKERSTARS GET THE "RUNS" IN MEXICO!
Tournament organizers made the announcement at 5 p.m. CT on Saturday afternoon at the Marival Grand and Club Suites resort in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico, more than 18 hours after play was halted by Mexican gaming officials late on Day 1 of what was supposed to be a three-day event.
The 89 players still holding chips at the time of the suspension of play will each receive at least double the $2,500 buy-in from the tournament's $568,850 prize pool, with any remainder being dispersed based on each player's approximate chip count at the interruption of play. The 89 survivors will also receive $500 from PokerStars. Get the full Pokerlistings article here.

HIGH STAKES POKER IS BACK! GSN DOESN'T SUCK!

While many parts of the statement are inaccurate, GSN has picked up the option on the 5th season of HIGH STAKES POKER and continues to enjoy poker on its air."-Jennifer Minezaki, Director of Public Relations at GSN
Yea! It looks like HSP is back on the air at GSN. So they do like ratings(Go Figure). Well, if it is indeed true, then I guess we here at POKERDONKEYS owe a little apology to the GAME SHOW NETWORK. So here it is........sorry. Okay now that we're all friends again keep posted to POKERDONKEYS: ONLINE POKER BLOG! for the full schedule of Season 5 when it's announced. Go GSN!

YOU DON'T MESS WITH THE NENAD!
NENAD MEDIC!
WSOP 2008's first bracelet goes to Serbia's favorite son Nenad Medic who won the $10,000 Pot Limit Hold Em Event. Coming from 8th place to 1st place wasn't easy for this ZOHAN look alike! He had to kick the living crap out of some of today's top players like Andy Bloch, Mike Sexton, Phil Laak, Kathy Liebert, and Patrik Antonius. For his efforts Nenad gets $794,112 and pretty little bracelet. Congrats Nenad now go kick some butt!

ULTIMATE CHEATERS!
"The individuals responsible were found to have worked for the previous ownership of UltimateBet prior to the sale of the business to Tokwiro in October 2006. Tokwiro is taking full responsibility for this situation and will immediately begin refunding UltimateBet customers for any losses that were incurred as a result of unfair play."
Tokwiro also owns Absolute Poker. I wonder if someone else owned that site before them as well? Anyway you can follow all the sorted details in this article:

POKER BABE OF THE WEEK!
Helen Chamberlain
A British player, Helen Chamberlain is more well-known for her roles as a television star than for her poker skills. But, given her recent cash of $400,000 at the Poker Million: The Masters tournament, that may soon change.Helen is most notable as a television personality on numerous British sports broadcasts, as well as two other morning shows, The Big Breakfast, RI:SE - and Nickelodeon. Helen is also the proud owner of Birkspiel, a racing horse she purchased with some of her poker winnings. The horse has faired well, earning a first place and third place finish at major races since Helen became his presenter.
